About the Products:
The products are hand made with materials indigenous to the region with methods passed down from generation to generation. All are produced primitively; the terra cotta is mixed by hand, glazes are made from organic vegetation and kilns fired by wood. The stone objects are carved with chisel and hammer.
LOMBOK POTTERY:
There are no chemicals used in the production of these pieces. The vases are not glazed in the interior therefore needs an interior liner if used for florals.
YOGYAKARTA POTTERY:
Contemporary and approximately 40 - 50 year old pottery.
STONE:
Stone statues up to 8' tall, Buddha heads, fountains and planters are only a sampling of what we offer. Sandstone and whitestone are the softest and most fragile of the stone materials. Green and brown stone is medium density. Volcanic stone from Mt. Merapi is the hardest and most dense.
BASKETS:
The baskets are finely woven and made from Ate grass. The larger pieces can take up to three months to produce.
HAND PAINTED EGGS:
The hand painted ostrich, goose and duck eggs are a relatively new art introduced approximately eight years ago from an artist in the Netherlands.
Two brothers and their apprentices create these beautifully skilled and detailed works of art.
INDONESIAN KITES:
Hand painted with bamboo bracing these fantastic kites will bring a dramatic effect to your home. The kites are fully outfitted for flying on a windy day and are sure to be the most sophisticated kite in the sky.
WOOD:
Contemporary and old wooden bowls that have the character you can only achieve from age. Benches old and new, lounge chairs made with wood and rattan and tables are made from teakwood.
